April is up and running, along with the 2016 horse show season. Horse highlights from Monday, April 4, through Sunday, April 10, include training clinics, team penning and roping, tack sales, schooling shows, rodeos, open shows, horsemanship clinics, horse care workshops, equine breed shows, dressage clinics, barrel racing and speed competitions, and more. Also, Equine Affaire runs this week in Ohio.

This roster, though perhaps not exhaustive, includes as many Upper Midwestern horse highlights as possible for the specified period.
