October 5-11, 2015 - Horse highlights

October marches along, and equestrians all over the Upper Midwest saddle up for fall horse highlights. This week’s favorite equine events include the Donkey and Mule Rodeo, the Illinois Youth Charity Horse Show, the Run o’ the Mill Pony Club Fall Fun Show, and the Race to Remember. Other top horse happenings in the area bring autumn rail rides, breed shows, fall tack sales, fun shows, Oktoberfest horse shows, schooling shows, training clinics, and more.

Scope out this week’s lengthy list of exciting equestrian events across the Upper Midwest. This roster, though perhaps not exhaustive, includes as many Upper Midwestern horse highlights as possible for the specified period. As a rule, equestrians, exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, and other participants are urged to contact event hosts or organizers directly for show bills, flyers, or additional information. Many of these equestrian events may require advance sign-ups.
