September 14-20, 2015 - Horse highlights

September trots along, as do area equestrians. Horse lovers saddle up their mounts for hosts of exciting equine happenings. Top equestrian events across the Upper Midwest from Monday, September 14, through Sunday, September 20, include the IDCTA Dressage/CT Championships, the Minnesota 4-H Horse Show, the WHJA (Wisconsin Hunter/Jumper Association) Fall Finals Horse Show, and the Wisconsin State 4-H Horse Show / Expo.

Additional popular Upper Midwest horse attractions for the week are barrel races, breed shows, charity shows, combined training events, cow working clinics, dressage shows, fun shows, horse pulls, horse sales, horse training workshops, horsemanship clinics, jumping competitions, obstacle challenges, rodeos, tack swaps, trail rides, and more.

Take a look at this week’s lengthy roster of horse highlights. This list may not be exhaustive, but it includes as many Upper Midwestern equestrian events as possible for the specified period. Riders, exhibitors, volunteers, and other participants are urged to contact event hosts or organizers directly for show bills, flyers, or additional information. Advance sign-ups may be required for many of these equestrian events.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, runs from September 14 to 15.
