September 8-13, 2015 - Horse highlights

Post-Labor Day, the Upper Midwest horse show season is still trotting along with tons of equestrian competitions and training opportunities. Horse highlights from Tuesday, September 8, through Sunday, September 13, include the Iowa Fall Classic Saddlebred Horse Show, the Minnesota Pinto September Celebration Show, the Oshkosh Dressage Classic, the Villa Louis Carriage Classic, and the Wisconsin Horse Council (WHC) Championship Challenge Show. Additional top picks included barrel races, breed shows, dressage clinics, fun shows, horse pulls, open shows, tack sales, team roping, trail rides, and more.

Here’s a whopping list of horse highlights for the week. This roster may not be exhaustive, but it is aimed at announcing as many Upper Midwestern equestrian events as possible for the specified period. Riders, exhibitors, volunteers, and other participants are urged to contact event hosts or organizers directly for show bills, flyers, or additional information. Advance sign-ups may be required for many of these equestrian events.
